if anyone's considering having an alt character, perhaps you should think about having a boy one. there's a huge imbalance of boys to girls in the house, with girls outnumbering guys 2 to 1. i'm not saying anyone should go and change their main character to a boy. i'm also not advocating against girls...being one myself, i think they're quite swell. i'm just saying that in order to promote diversity and interaction with different kinds of people, if you want to add another character to play, try a boy. i prefer playing boys actually. they're quite fun.
and if anyone wants to play a sexy scotsman named something like...jamie, i will make a character that will be all over him. you shall not lack for responses to your posts. or maybe i should do it, seeing as i'm hearing the accent in my sleep. almost needless (or maybe very needful) to say, i've picked up the outlander series and have been mowing through the first one at an alarming rate. yowza.

Hey!
I can create the Jamie character. I've got extra time on my hands, so it won't be too hard to find a PB and create a profile.

Ha! You don't have to name him Jamie or have him fit any of those characteristics. I was just in full Outlander fever. Make him whomever you wish. Just another boy would be great to have around. Here and in life! I'm so profound.

*shrugs* Whatever, anything's cool with me. I've been wanting another character anyhow.

In that case, make a Scottish rogue named Jamie if you want. Or whatever your taste is. Just make him interesting. A man of action.
So far everyone's been in the "Hi! How are you? My name's Lulabelle and I love bunnies!" stage, which is nice, but drama is always more fun.

Haha. Please tell me no one has a character names Lulabelle, unless it's a cow.

nope. no lulabelle as of it. it's just one of my names. i guess i'm a weird sort, but i don't actually use normal names when i start talking about things. somehow, gertrude and lulabella and franny jo and names like that come much more naturally to me. i'm an odd duck.

but, on the flip side, i also really, really like those old fashioned names. i honestly don't know why people aren't naming their children josephine and lucy and francine and things like that. those are the names i swoon over. so pretty and also have real meanings and real history. i mean, i could be inventive and think of names like Riverelle and such, but what would be the point besides just sounding pretty. older names have sort of a dignified grace and also usually have cool nicknames derived from them. the fact that they're so uncommon these days makes them all the more appealing.

Haha! Franny Jo? That's a new one. I'd heard the other ones before, but not Franny Jo.

I think those old names are going to come around again. All the new fangled names (haha. I said fangled.) are getting old for people now. And one can only hope the whole Apple, Coco, Pop Tart, naming spree will wear off fairly soon.

I swear, one of these days some celebrity will end up naming their kid Waffle.

I was thinking about bringing in a guy, but I was deciding who I wanted to bring in. Plus, I'd like to get a bit of playing in first, lol. So, within a day or two, I should be playing a guy.

I could play a guy once i get the feel for this place, but he'd probably be a sarcastic pain in the butt- sort of a cross between Higgins in Pygmalion and Skittery and Racetrack. He'd also be probably just a smidge eccentric. And I agree about the names thing. I like names like Boone or Gabriel or Euell. My character goes by Levina. It's not necessarily her name, though. But I like it.
