Here are a few quick rules of the house:
1. Above all, please be respectful.
2. This is a house for mature readers only. That means that foul language, violence, controversial subject matter, smut, etc may occur here. If you are sensitive to these kinds of things, and may be offended, please don't join.
3. Narrative will be in third person. Please use "he's" and "she's"...no "I's" when speaking. For Example:
Good: Gertrude walked down the stairs.
Bad: I walked down the stairs to see a dragon awaiting me.
4. Please be creative and thoughtful with posts. Also, please keep to the storyline and adhere to reality. Do not be melodramatic or give your character unreal qualities.
5. Characters must be seventeen or older. Preferably older. Also, they must have real names (no nicknames), and realistic personalities and pasts. Keep in mind that the year is 1901 and this is New York. Names reflecting various groups of immigrants and "old fashioned" manners would be popular.
6. In the sake of preventing boredom or having to wait forever for someone to reply to one of your threads, your character is allowed to be more than one place at once. Just keep it down to two or three. Not eight. You want more action? Create another character.
7. You may have more than one character. As many as you can maintain, in fact.
8. Please keep out of character comments out of storylines. Send personal messages if you want to discuss something out of character.
9. If you have problems with anything or anyone, let me know and I will try to handle it. If you have any ideas on how to make anything better, let me know that too.
10. New rules may be added at anytime, so check here from time to time.
